1. When is Canadian Days?

Our 2023 dates are August 4-6.

Canadian Days is held the weekend before the first Monday in August. We plan around Ontario, Canada’s Civic Holiday which is observed the first Monday in August, so that our visitors from our Sister-City Thunder Bay have an extra day to travel safely home.

2. Do I receive any deals with the purchase of a Canadian Days button?

• Register your button by 8 a.m. on 7/25 to be eligible for the $250 Medallion Hunt reward 
• Free ear of corn at corn feed Friday from 5-7 p.m.
• Free pancake breakfast Saturday from 8-10 a.m.
• Enter Prize drawing by 3:00 p.m. on Sunday

Canadian Days is run by an all-volunteer committee and appreciates your support for this community event!

3. Where can I buy Canadian Days buttons?

Canadian Days buttons will go on sale July 1!  Buttons cost $3 each and can be purchased at these Little Canada locations:

• Culver's of Little Canada
• Donut Hut
• Frattallone's Hardware & Garden
• Little Venetian
• Minnesota Catholic Credit Union
• Norm's Tire Sales
• (additional locations will be added as they become available)
  
  Canadian Days is an all-volunteer organization and relies on button sales to help fund the festival. Please support your community festival and buy a Canadian Days Button!

4. How can I volunteer?

• You can join the VOLUNTEER planning committee.
• You can volunteer during the festival.
• If you belong to an organization, you may be eligible for fundraising opportunities during the festival, if your group provides volunteers.

5. Is handicapped parking available or a shuttle bus?

Limited handicapped parking is available at Spooner Park.

There is a FREE Park and Ride shuttle bus running from Spooner Park to both the east and west parking lots of Pioneer Park on

• Friday from 5 to 11 p.m.
• Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sunday from 1:30 to 5 p.m. (following the Parade)

Pioneer Park is just north of Spooner Park on Centerville Road or DeSoto Street.  

There is also a free shuttle from Saxon Bowling Lanes to Spooner Park on Saturday from 8 to 8 p.m.

6. Can I buy discounted, advanced sale carnival ride tickets?

Stipe Shows is back in 2022.  Tickets are sold at the carnival ticket booth-no advance sale tickets.  All-You-Can-Ride wristbands will be available on Friday from 6-10 PM and Saturday from Noon-4 PM.

7. Where is the Grand Parade route?

The Grand Parade begins Sunday, July 31 at 12 p.m. at Saxon Lanes at the corner of Market Place Drive and Little Canada Road. It travels east on Little Canada Road, then turns north on Noel Drive. From there, the route turns west onto Labore Road to Desoto St. towards Little Canada Elementary School and proceeds down Eli Road past Spooner Park and ends at Centerville Rd.

8. Will the 5K Race results be posted on the web site?

Yes. The results will be posted within one week after race day.

9. Where do I get notification of the Medalion Hunt clues?

You can sign up on Notify me to receive all Canadian Days News announcements.  
Go to  Notify Me • Little Canada, MN • CivicEngage (littlecanadamn.org)
Type your email address in the box and select Sign In.  If you want to receive text messages enter your phone number and select Save.  To subscribe to Canadian Days News, scroll down to News Flash and check if you want to receive Canadian Days News via Email or Text Message.
You will receive the clues as soon as they are released.

10. How do you choose the entertainment?

The Canadian Days Entertainment Committee continually checks out bands that will appeal to a wide audience.  If you have suggestions, email us, or even better yet join the Canadian Days Committee and be a part of the selection process!

Please keep in mind that the cost of bands must fit within our budget as we are an all volunteer organization and raise the funds to put on your community festival.
